Thistledown Labs is a small hobby kennel. In 1976 we started showing Golden Retrievers, and soon after fell in love with Labrador Retrievers too. For several years we showed both beautiful breeds. Recently, we have changed our main focus to strictly showing and breeding Labradors. Our main goal is to preserve the Labrador type of temperament while breeding sound quality dogs. We are active in obedience and strive to breed dogs that can excel in the breed ring, be competitive in obedience, and still have that wonderful attitude that we love to live with.
